On April 22, 2026, the team of Karaganda Medical University, «Prognosis Positive», consisting of 5th-year students from the "Medicine" program - Amina Dossanova, Karina Akhmetova, and Sanzhar Tolegenov, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Yu.A. Khokhlova from the Department of Internal Medicine, participated in the IV All-Russian Olympiad on Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases with international participation, held at the North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov in St. Petersburg.
Our team achieved excellent results in the first stage of the Olympiad, making it into the list of the 12 best teams from Kazakhstan and Russia out of 80 participating teams.
The second stage of the Olympiad was highly competitive and involved demonstrating physical examination of patients, assessing the level of theoretical training, and clinical thinking of the students.
Our students demonstrated excellent proficiency in physical examination skills, a high level of theoretical training in therapeutic disciplines, clinical thinking, and great teamwork.
According to the results of the Olympiad, the "Prognosis Positive" team entered the top five teams. The students' work was highly evaluated by members of the expert jury.
