On September 6, 2026, the scientific and practical conference with international participation "Neurorehabilitation: Vectors of Development II-2026" was held at the West Kazakhstan Higher Medical College (Uralsk). Opening remarks were delivered by A.Zh. Gubaidullina, Acting Head of the Department of Healthcare of the West Kazakhstan Region; K.M. Irmenov, Director of West Kazakhstan Higher Medical College LLP; and L.A. Tursynova, Chair of the Council of Businesswomen of the West Kazakhstan Region. Participants included Heinz Schleenbecker (Germany), MD, Professor, physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor, expert in the field of kinesitherapy and osteology, who presented reports on medical rehabilitation strategies in modern healthcare systems; A.B. Seidanova (Astana), Assistant in the Education Department of the National Scientific Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics (NSCTO) named after Academician N.D. Batpenov, Master of Public Health, and neurologist/rehabilitologist, who discussed early intervention methods in neurorehabilitation; and A.S. Kudaibergenova (Almaty), Candidate of Medical Sciences, neurologist, and head of advanced training courses in neurology and neurorehabilitation at the Kazakh-Russian Medical University, who spoke on the topic of "Post-Stroke Shoulder: From Pain to Recovery. International Guidelines and Clinical Practice."


T.T. Kispayeva, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, represented "Karaganda Medical University" NCJSC as a speaker with presentations on "Modern Trends in International Nursing Education: The UK Example" and "Nursing Staff in Neurorehabilitation in the Republic of Kazakhstan: Achievements and Prospects", in which she outlined current trends in nursing education abroad, using the UK as a case study and the key roles of academic undergraduate level nursing staff in neurorehabilitation.


The conference provided a platform to discuss key areas of modern neurorehabilitation in alignment with current international guidelines and clinical practice.

As part of the scientific and practical conference and with the support of "Karaganda Medical University" NCJSC and professional association of specialists in recovery of patients with stroke "NEIRON" a pre-conference workshops were organized under the guidance of MD, Professor Heinz Schleenbecker (Germany), specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor, expert in the field of kinesitherapy and osteology, and Professor T.T. Kispayeva from "Karaganda Medical University" NCJSC, a Doctor of Medical Sciences, national instructor in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The workshops focused on modern kinesitherapy methods (PNF, Bobath) in cerebral stroke, after surgeries, and orthopedic trauma. These sessions provided necessary assistance to practical healthacre regarding the training of rehabilitation specialists; they received numerous positive feedback from participants and facilitated discussions on future educational paths for nursing staff as part of qualification upgrade and academic undergraduate programs at "Karaganda Medical University" NCJSC in full-time mode.
