We invite you to the II International Biomedical Forum “International Biomedical Forum: Research and Innovation”
Dear Colleagues,
Karaganda Medical University invites representatives of scientific and academic community to participate in the II International Biomedical Forum “International Biomedical Forum: Research and Innovation”, which will be held on October 22-23, 2026, in Karaganda, Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Forum continues and expands the topic of the first International Biomedical Forum, successfully held in April 2025. The event brings together researchers, faculty members, clinicians, PhD candidates, young scientists, and experts in biomedicine, medical education, translational research, digital health, and medical technologies.
The aim of the Forum is to create an open international platform for presenting research results, discussing current areas in biomedicine, developing interdisciplinary cooperation, and strengthening links between fundamental science, clinical practice, education, and innovations.
Main areas of the forum
• Development and implementation of new pharmaceuticals: new methods of synthesis and development of drug molecules, preclinical and clinical studies, and translational medicine.
• OMICs technologies: genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and other areas, including their application in studying disease processes and personalized medicine.
• Bioinformatics, data analysis, and artificial intelligence in biomedicine: big data, machine learning, digital technologies in diagnosis, prognosis, and scientific practice.
• Bioengineering and medical technologies: medical devices, microfluidic systems, sensors, diagnostic platforms, regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, and integration of medtech solutions into healthcare.
• Poster session for young researchers, including master’s students, PhD candidates, and medical residents (young scientists under the age of 40 are invited to participate).
Participation Format
Scientists, faculty members, employees of research organizations, representatives of medical organizations, PhD candidates, master’s students, medical residents, and young researchers are invited to participate. Possible forms of participation include:
• speaker with an oral report within the plenary or sectional program;
• participant/audience member of a scientific program;
• participant of a poster session for PhD candidates and young researchers;
• participant of workshops and thematic scientific and practical sessions.
Forum Program
The Forum program includes general sessions, break-out session reports, workshops, panel discussions, and a separate platform for doctoral students and young scientists. Special attention will be paid to interdisciplinary research, the practical significance of research results, opportunities for international publications, and the development of joint research projects. An electronic Book of Abstracts will be published following the results of the forum.
As part of the forum, workshops dedicated to modern areas of biomedical research and practical aspects of their application will be held on October 20–21. Workshops on digital PCR, biobanking, cosmeceutics, and other relevant areas will be organized. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the latest technologies, discuss prospects for their application in scientific and practical activities, and acquire valuable practical skills.
