• The competition is conducted in accordance with the Rules for awarding the prizes in science and state research fellowships, approved by the Order of the Acting Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 14, 2023, No. 466 (https://adilet.zan.kz/rus/docs/V2300033417, with amendments dated October 24, 2025 – https://law.gov.kz/client/#!/doc/216095/rus), the Criteria for selecting works for awarding the prizes in the field of science and criteria for selecting candidates for state research fellowships, approved by the Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 14, 2021, No. 517 (https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/sci/documents/details/725692?lang=ru), and the Rules for providing public services “Acceptance of works for awards in science and state research fellowships”, approved by the Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 11, 2020 No. 242 (https://adilet.zan.kz/rus/docs/V2000020852, amended and restated dated October 24, 2025 – https://law.gov.kz/client/#!/doc/216095/rus).
• Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who are researchers and research fellows, as specified in paragraph 3 of the Rules for awarding the prizes in science and state research fellowships, participate in the competitions for awarding prizes and fellowships.
• Accepting works for awards and fellowships is carried out in electronic format via the Single Window "National Innovation System” information system.

In accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the acceptance of works for awards and state research fellowships is carried out by the “National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan” NPJSC within 30 (thirty) consecutive days from the date of publication of this announcement.
The awards and state research fellowships were established by the Order of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 4, 2023, No. 389

• One K.I. Satpayev Prize for the best scientific study in natural sciences;
• One Sh.Sh. Ualikhanov Prize for the best scientific research in the field of humanities;
• One Y. Altynsarin Prize for the best scientific study and work in educational science;
• One Kul Tegin Prize for outstanding achievements in Turkology;
• One D.A. Kunayev Prize for young scientists for the best work in natural sciences;
• One M.O. Auezov Prize for young scientists for the best work in  humanities;
• 75 state research fellowships, including 50 state research fellowships for talented young scientists under the age of forty (inclusive).
Documents required for participation in the competition for science awards
1.    Scientific work in the form of monographs, chapters in monographs, articles, reviews, patents, or invention certificates (no more than five);
2.    A description of the work (no more than half a printed sheet) presenting its content, relevance, novelty, main scientific results, significance, and potential for further application;
3.    An extract from the minutes of the meeting of the consultative and advisory body of the organization nominating the work;
4.    A certificate from the candidate’s primary place of employment;
5.    A brief description of the candidate’s scientific activity, indicating their contribution (for team works);
6.    A certificate from the organization nominating the work, which confirms that the submitted work has not previously been awarded prizes funded from the Republican budget;
7.    A copy of the implementation act (if available);
8.    A statement of an operating twenty-digit bank account number.
Documents specified in subparagraphs 4), 5), and 6) of this paragraph are submitted from the candidate’s last place of employment if they have left the organization.
Documents required for participation in the competition for state research fellowships
1.    A motivated application (reference) from the consultative and advisory body of the organization;
2.    A certificate from the candidate’s primary place of employment;
3.    A list of the candidate’s scientific publications for the last five years, along with reprints of the most important ones (no more than five);
4.    A copy of the implementation act (if available);
5.    Documents confirming the management of scientific projects and programs (if available; not required for talented young scientist applicants);
6.    Documents confirming training of specialists, who were awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or doctor in profile in the Republic of Kazakhstan (if available; not required for talented young scientist applicants);
7.    Documents confirming international collaboration (if available; required only for talented young scientist applicants);
8.    A statement of an operating twenty-digit bank account number.
For monographs published by a domestic publisher, an abstract of up to two pages of printed text, copies of the front page, date-lines, and at least two reviews must be submitted.
For monographs published by a foreign publisher, an abstract of up to two pages of printed text, copies of the front page and date-lines data must be submitted.
