Eurasian integration

On the 29th of May in Astana signed the Treaty on establishing of the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC). On this day at the meeting of the Academic Council of KSMU the Head of the department of Kazakhstan history and social and political sciences Kudaibergen Abayevich Temirgaliyev made the report «Eurasian Economic Community as a way to integration».

The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a Treaty of EAEC, which will enter into force on the 1st of January, 2015. EAEC provides the establishment of a common market of the three countries with a population of 170 million people. The conditions for the free movement of goods, services, capital and labor will create. In addition, the Parties undertake to implement a coherent policy in key sectors of the economy.

The university developed a plan of advocacy for the EAEC establishment. In the framework of this plan at a meeting of the Academic Council Kudaibergen Abayevich presented a report that elucidates the EAEC as a way to integration.

The main theses of the report dealt with the role of the President of Kazakhstan in the creation of the Eurasian Economic Community, the historical importance of the signed contract, the problems that would resolve the creation of the EAEC countries' integration into the EAEC. Thus, EAEC countries removed from world markets, have large areas and smaller markets, produce identical products. At the same time, the report noted that the establishment of the Community meets the aspirations of the peoples of the three countries. The special attention the rapporteur gave to the current political and economic situation. Under these conditions, the EAEC is the structure that makes the most efficient resolve challenges of the modern world to the signatory countries. As the argument Kudaibergen Abayevich quoted the words of the Chairman of the Majilis Kosymzhomart Tokayev: «We, the deputies of the upper house, will do everything possible to ensure the full legislation of the integration. As our President noticed, EAEC is an adequate response to the global financial and economic crisis».

«The states of Central Asia have no other choice but to integration and modernization . Integration means recovery, supplementation, i.e. the union in whole of any part of the elements, and more precisely – the equal, leading to the formation of a single economic complex», – accented in his speech the head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and social and political sciences. At the end of his speech the rapporteur concluded that the creation of the EAEC will improve economic ties, will make strength the integration of science and innovation. All this will expand the boundaries of Kazakhstan in the cognitive, historical and cultural aspects. Thus, the European Economic Community is a significant milestone in the Eurasian integration. And this is the way to help overcome the current global crisis and the EAEC countries will contribute to the further all-round development.

Eurasian idea of N. A. Nazarbayev

On the 28th of May, 2014 the lecture «The Eurasian idea of N. A. Nazarbayev» for students of the 1st year of specialty «General Medicine» held in the 250 room of the 4th building of KSMU. The presentation had been demonstrated for students. The slides presented a brief text and photos dedicated to the Eurasian idea, raised by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in 1994 year. Also the questions of the creation of the Eurasian Union with Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia in structure were announced. In the form of a dialogue with the students were explained the goal of the Eurasian integration and emphasized the economic benefits of such a combination for the economy of these countries. The presentation was accompanied by footage (fragment of program «Zhetikun») and sparked the interest of the audience.

Eurasian integration

On the 29 of May, 2014 in Astana will be signed a Treaty of the Eurasian Economic Union creating. The EAEC Treaty will give the additional impetus to mutually beneficial, equitable economic development of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus, including such areas as transport, energy, agriculture, and will contribute to the development of fair competition in the common market.

The Treaty is the basic document defining the agreement of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan to form the EAEC for deepening integration, removing barriers to the free movement of goods, services, capital and labor, as well as a coordinated, coherent and unified policy in key sectors of the economy.

The Treaty fixes the transition to integration stage that follows the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space.

The Treaty draft about EAEC was agreed on the 15 of May on meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission held in Moscow. In addition, the wording of several provisions of the treaty had been made more exact, which had previously been approved by the Presidents of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan.

It is planning to sign an agreement on the 29 of May on summit of the Customs Union in Astana. As expected, the EAEC will be active from the 1 of January 2015.
